Looking for an adults-only sweet treat with a difference? We've taken the classic ice lolly from our childhood and given it a Muff twist!
When the sun comes out, all we can imagine is sipping a Muff Gin and tonic on the beach or in our back garden. Last weekend we decided to make something a little different and we treated ourselves by making Gin & orange Ice pops... they tasted amazing! You can alter the recipe slightly to suit your own ice pop molds but we made six ice pops. We always serve our Muff Gin and Tonic with a slice of orange and we thought it would also work well in our Muff ice pops too. Follow the recipe and let us know what you think! Top tip: Get your mouth around it quickly as it melts fast!
Always drink responsibly
Ingredients
Makes 6 lollies
- 6 mint leaves
- 1 orange
- 75ml Muff Gin
- 250ml tonic water
- 50g caster sugar
Method
- Cut your orange into thin slices. Place one slice of orange & one mint leaf into each space of the lolly mold.
- Stir together the ingredients in a jug (Muff gin, tonic & sugar). Stir until the tonic is flat & sugar is dissolved.
- Divide the mix into the lolly mold & push in lolly sticks.
- Leave in freezer for at least 4 hours. We recommend leaving them overnight if possible.
